CRG Delivers Capital Project Strategy and $800MM Business Case on Major Transformation
The organization provides a broad array of energy services ranging from research and development, design and engineering to specialized technology, waste management and nuclear energy decommissioning.
As part of a strategic planning process, the organization decided to invest $800M in new infrastructure capital and research funding over the next five years. A key element and input into the capital plan, would be the development of compelling business cases for the ten capital and research projects in order to align each of them to organizational strategy and to justify the return on investment.
CRG was retained by the organization to assist in the planning and business case development for the ten capital and research projects.
CRG DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING:
- Facilitated a strategic planning retreat for the Senior Management Team and a diverse group of government, R&D, science and technology, operations, finance, project management and business development stakeholders to align everyone on a common set of organizational goals and priorities as a key input into the development of the strategic plan
- Led the up-front planning and business case development of all 10 capital and research projects, totaling $800M in spend
- Meaningful and fact-based business cases to help the organization secure funding approval
