As the Summer 2026 internship program comes to an end, we asked our interns to reflect on their experience at CRG. Across their reflections, a few themes consistently stood out: meaningful work, professional growth, and the people. 

The interns took ownership of several internal initiatives aimed at strengthening how CRG works. From deploying our new CRM system, to designing a new learning management system, to building AI agents that will give our team more time for higher-value work, their contributions will continue to have an impact beyond the summer. These projects gave them exposure to the full consulting process, from understanding current-state challenges to presenting their work to senior leaders and the broader firm. 

Across these experiences, the interns highlighted several areas where they developed new skills and perspectives: 

  • Structuring and communicating information clearly: Learning how to organize complex information, identify the most important insights, and confidently present their thinking. 
  • Understanding the consulting process: Working through challenges from understanding the current state and gathering stakeholder input to developing a practical path forward. 
  • Developing practical, evidence-based recommendations: Learning to test assumptions, adapt their thinking, and focus on realistic solutions. 

The most consistent highlight was CRG’s culture. The interns valued the firm’s close-knit community and accessibility of people at every level, noting how much they appreciated the ability to reach out across the firm for guidance, feedback, or simply to connect. 

Based on their experience, the interns identified three key pieces of advice for future interns: 

  1. Be curious and ask questions. 
  2. Take initiative and seek out opportunities beyond your immediate work. 
  3. Be intentional about what you want to learn and shape your experience around those goals.
